Ms. Brown began her teaching career in August of 2021 after graduating from Mercer University with a degree in English and with a minor in Secondary Education. She taught for one year at the high school level in Bibb County before coming to Houston County’s WIN Academy.

Ms. Brown says her favorite thing about education are the students. She enjoys seeing students over come their struggles inside and outside the classroom and really focuses on educating the whole child. “Any student is welcome in my classroom, whether I teach them or not. I want to make sure everyone feels included and comfortable,” says Ms. Brown.

Ms. Brown is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Teaching at Mercer University so she can continue growing for her current and future students.
