Bio

My education began in Pike County where I graduated in 1981 then joined the military.  From 1982 to 1985 I served as a paratrooper at Ft. Bragg, NC and saw service in the Middle East with the Multinational Forces and Observers at El Gorah in the Sinai, Egypt. After the military I graduated from Gordon College in 1986 and was married to my wife Ginger: we have two boys and a girl and 11 grandchildren. In 1989 I graduated from the University of Georgia and again served in the U.S. Army as a platoon leader with the 24th Infantry Division during Desert Shield and Desert Storm.  Following my military service I worked as a correctional officer in a boot camp at Northwest Probation and Detention Center in Cedartown, Ga. After one year I transferred to Washington Correctional Institution at Davisboro, GA where I began my teaching career in 1993 as a GED instructor.  In 1995 I accepted a position in the public school system where I have been employed as a teacher, football coach, baseball coach, and golf coach.  My career as allowed me to work in numerous counties and systems and my previous position before coming to Win Academy as a Study Skills/ISS facilitator was at Crawford County.  I look forward to a new and challenging year with Houston County.
